Examination Pattern
Examination and Promotion Rules (For Classes II to VIII)
The academic year will have three Periodic Tests, Half Yearly Exam and Annual Exam.
I Periodic Test – In the month of May.
II Periodic Test – In the month of september.
III Periodic Test – In the month of January.
HALF YEARLY EXAMS – IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER.
ANNUAL EXAMS – IN THE MONTH OF MARCH.
Guidelines of Periodic Tests
- Periodic Tests will be conducted for 50 marks for the Duration of 2:00 hours.
- Syllabus and Marking Scheme will be provided to the students along with the Date sheet of the exams.
- Attendance in all Tests is compulsory.
- No re-test will be conducted at any level.
- Strict action will be taken against the students using unfair means .
HALF YEARLY EXAMS – IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER.
- *No re-test will be conducted.
- *Half Yearly Exams will be conducted for 80 marks.
- *Duration of exam will be 3 hours.
- *50% of entire syllabus will be covered in the Half Yearly.
- *Absentees other than those on medical grounds will be marked absent in pen and paper test and no grades will be awarded.
- *Leave on medical ground will be granted only getting it sanctioned in advance along with medical certificate & medical fitness certificate should be submitted while rejoining the school.
Annual Examination
- No re-test will be conducted.
- Annual Examination will be conducted for 80 marks.
- Duration of exam will be 3 hours.
- 100% syllabus will be covered in the Annual Examination.
- Absentees other than those on medical grounds will be marked absent in pen and paper test and no grades will be awarded.
- Leave on medical ground will be granted only getting it sanctioned in advance along with medical certificate & medical fitness certificate should be submitted while rejoining the school.
Grading scale for scholastic areas :
Third Saturday of the month, is scheduled for an interaction between the parents and teachers to co-ordinate the work of the students in school and at home.

Co-Scholastic Activities
For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas be carried out and will be graded term-wise on a 3-point grading scale:
A = Outstanding,
B= Very Good
C=Fair
The aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork be the generic criteria for grading in the following co-scholastic activities:
(a) Work Education - Work Education refers to skill-based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community
(b) Art Education (Visual & Performing Art)
(c) Health and Physical Education (Sports/Martial Arts/Yoga/NCC etc.)
Discipline (Classes II-IX):
The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others.
Grading on Discipline will be done term-wise on a 3-point grading scale
A = Outstanding,
B= Very Good
C=Fair

- Duration of Test will be 1:30 hours.
- 50% of entire syllabus will be covered.
- Regular Classes will be held after tests.
I PRE- BOARD – In the month of December.
II PRE- BOARD – In the First week of January.
III PRE-BOARD – In the Third week of January.
- PRE- BOARDs will be conducted for 80 marks each.
- Duration of Test will be 3 hours.
- 100% of entire syllabus will be covered.
- Revision Classes will be held after the exam.
